I absolutely love Spring / Summer weddings! Weather gives way to endless possibilities that we flee from in Winter months! Here I have compiled my favorite Summer Wedding Guest dresses for 2020 in this Shop the Look post! Here are some recycled gowns by my favorite sustainable designer, AMUR official!
Finding the perfect wedding guest dresses makes me so happy. In summer, weddings can take a more casual approach, and when the dress code is:
- Casual : Casual dress means wedding guests can wear pretty much anything! Keep in mind jeans, shorts and tank tops are probably not appropriate unless they’re specifically noted as acceptable. I like to dress things up a little and opt for anything I would wear to a nice restaurant in the summer season.
- Cocktail Attire, Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual. : These are asking guests to dress between formal and casual. Out of respect to the bride and groom I will wear heels and a neat or upscale dress usually at the the knee.
- Beach Formal : Formal Summer Dresses (Not one you would actually wear to the beach) are usually a formal summer sundress. I try to stick to tea-length or knee-length. You’ll also need to mind the elements: sun, sand, water and wind. Lighter colors and fabrics will keep you cool. If you’re on the sand, I would also suggest a sandal or comfortable wedge.
Be inspired to shake off winter blues with these wedding dress ideas. These appropriate yet relaxed floral summer wedding guest dresses will make you a showstopper at your next wedding or event!
Also, floral patterns draw attention away from unwanted areas such as the hips or waist. These dresses are a fresh and bright response to any Spring or Summer wedding invitation! AMUR always throws in a number of beautiful details in their garments like asymmetry, cut outs, gathered ruffles and puff sleeves.

“Sustainably sourced materials fit effortlessly into a modern urban lifestyle, while the details—vivid prints, sharp tailoring, a dash of feminine flou—lend each piece an element of novelty and adventure. These are silhouettes for a contemporary woman confident enough to live conscientiously and carry a look from day to night with ease.”
“That approach lies at the heart of AMUR’s design process, which focuses on the fabric: All materials are sourced with an eye toward environmental good, whether organic and natural fabrics, reclaimed fibers that conserve material resources or trims made by artisan collectives in the developing world. While it’s an evolving process, one we’re continually striving to improve, each piece in the collection embodies a singular philosophy: that mindful living will always be in style.”
